Augmented Reality With Computer Vision

Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the hottest technological fads right now, and it’s only going to become bigger as AR-capable smartphones and other devices become more widely available. AR allowed us to view the real-world environment there in front of us trees swinging in the park, dogs chasing balls, kids playing soccer but with a digital augmentation layered on top of it. A pterodactyl may arrive in the trees, canines might mingle with their cartoon counterparts, and youngsters might kick past an extra-terrestrial spacecraft on their way to score a goal.

These examples aren’t that dissimilar to what you could currently have on your smartphone thanks to advancements in AR technology. Augmented reality is widely available and being utilized in several applications, such as Snapchat lenses, apps that help you find your car in a congested parking lot, and a variety of shopping apps that let you try on items without leaving your house.

We will learn how to use Computer Vision to develop an Augmented Reality application in this project. We‘ll locate our Target image using feature detection and then overlay a movie on top of it. We’ll write the code from the ground up, step by step, so it’ll be simple to follow.
